With easy access to public transport, historic sites, and lively restaurants, cafés and bars, this is the perfect base for your Athens stay.

Good to know

The apartment is on the third floor of a five-story building in central Athens. It features two bedrooms, each with its own private full bathroom, spacious living and dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, guests will find a convenient laundry room with a half bathroom, equipped with a washing machine and dryer. A private balcony—furnished with a table and chairs—completes the space, offering a charming spot to relax.

Other Details to Note

The apartment is fully renovated and everything is new, including all furniture and appliances. We designed this apartment for our family, and our stays when we visit Athens. There are a few steps at the building entrance to reach the elevator. There is a small elevator that can fit up to two persons. If you and your group are arriving with large suitcases, each person will most likely need to take a separate trip.

Neighborhood

Neapoli is a vibrant, historic neighborhood in central Athens, part of the Exarchia area. Together with Exarchia, it forms a bohemian and lively area known for its collective and alternative culture, nightlife, and intellectual atmosphere. It features a rich architecture with a mix of neoclassical buildings, and post-war apartments. There is a popular Saturday farmers' market at Kallidromiou Street, a main street in Neapoli with tavernas, bars, and groceries. You can find many underground bars, live music venues, and cozy cafés that stay open late throughout the small streets. As it is very close to the University of Athens and the Polytechnic School, it attracts students, artists, and activists. The streets are filled with colorful murals, graffiti. Neapoli and Exarchia are raw, energetic, and unpolished neighborhoods, beloved by those who appreciate local life and a non-touristy side of Athens. Neapoli has a slightly more residential but still alternative feel. Both areas are undergoing gentrification but retain their alternative spirit.

The apartment was very clean, roomy and nicely updated. Everything worked perfectly. Lots of bathrooms! Newly updated throughout. Very good security (the apartment door was nice and secure). These are very minor points... Could add a couple of foldable luggage stands to place your suitcase on in the bedrooms and the beds are a bit firm (some people prefer firm, I like the beds a little more plush).

The place was great and I had such a lovely stay! Clean, comfortable, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was convenient, and everything needed was provided. The host was extremely responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with, which made the stay even better. I would definitely stay here again, and the place is highly recommended!

Find us

Neapoli is a walkable neighborhood with good public transport links, but parking can be challenging. Public Transport: Metro: The closest stations are Panepistimio (Line 2, red), Omonia (Lines 1 & 2), and Ampelokipoi (all about a 15 min walk away. Buses/Trolleys: Multiple lines (e.g., 022, 060, 200, trolleys #2, #4, #11) pass through nearby streets like Akadimias or Patission. Tram: Syntagma (Line 4) connects to coastal areas, but requires a short walk or transfer. On Foot: Neapoli is compact, with most bars, cafés, and landmarks within a 10-20 minute walk. Pedestrian-friendly but hilly in parts. By Car & Parking: Limited street parking—spaces are scarce, especially at night. There are several private lots on Ippokratous street, as well as near Omonia or Exarchia that are safer but pricey. Expect to pay between 15 - 25 euros/day Motorcycles/scooters have an easier time finding spots. Taxis & Ride-Sharing: Taxis are affordable in Athens. Use Free Now app or Uber. Uber operates in Athens and dispatches taxis.
